Countless breakaways and other opportunities are broken up by divers. it seems the stick is drawn right to the puck when dives are attempted. this should be a desperation move that draws a penalty most of the time, not effective defense. anyway to tone down the accuracy of this unrealistic defense, and make it draw more penalties instead of breaking up scoring chances.

edit could a mod please change topic titlee to say poke checks, i dont even know how i screwed that up.

Maybe it is just me, but I seem to draw a penalty more times than hit the puck.

The pass block is too effective too, I see guys online using it instead of poke check, and that is stupid.

Another year, more complaints about stuff that are not problems. No one wants to learn counters to strategies, they want EA to fix the game so that how they play is the optimal way.

The result last year was EA c hanging the game every week based on the squeakiest wheels. I'd rather see fewer changes, and for those to be basedon data EA collects from actual gameplay on their servers. I don't look forward to pke checks changing every week based on whether forwards or defensemen cry the loudest.

You don't feel it is entirely too easy to save yourself after you got beat with a diving poke? I don't know what game you are playing. All I want is the stick to be more wild and unpredictable when they dive so its basically a huge risk of a penalty to attempt such a desperation move. It should be a trip around 75% of the time. Also if you out wait them, the should not be and to steal a pass in the middle of getting back to their feet. Deflecting it with the body is one thing, gaining possesion should NEVER happen.

The last two years was insanely easy to poke check and stuff. This year the pokes seem to rarely work, and diving and poking draws penalties far more often than in the past.
