Fowler says it hasn't been done yet.

Pretty stupid if you ask me, what's next? Are baseball players going to stop using steroids?

Seriously, whether he took money or not (I think he did) why should he be penalized for an athletic award that he actually accomplished? There would be a ton of awards revoked in college sports if everything that goes on behind closed doors were shown. Not saying it makes it right just a point.

Good decision, too bad it can't retroactively go to Vince Young.

While that's true, doing something this drastic sets an example that could deter "student"-athletes from doing the same in the future.

I agree with their decision.

The next step would be for the NFL to try and collectively bargain a rule that bans agents from working with NFLPA members if they (or anyone directly connected to them) are caught giving benefits to a college player. I'm not holding my breath on this one. They've got bigger things to worry about during the next bargaining session.

Maddenman' the heisman trophy is awarded to the next collegiate football player, to be a college football player you must be an amateur. Since Reggie took benefits that technically made him a professional, taking the trophy is the right thing to do to uphold the integrity of the trophy.

They wont, obviously, but I suppose they could.

Who cares, Reggie would still be known as the true Heisman winner by fans.

"Hey Vince! Even though we didn't vote for you, take this trophy...Whats your current address?!"
