LegendRyder's Realistic Sliders for Realistic Players (Version 1.1 NOW OUT)

Hey guys I thought I'd give a shot at posting my sliders. I've been using them and tweaking them for a few weeks now, and have had very good results. I tweak here and there every couple of days as I like to give it a couple of games before I decide something needs to be changed. Anyways, these sliders do definitely bring defense back to Madden. It's great to see a great offense vs. a great defense. These sliders are intended for sim players who make realistic decisions and try to mimic the real NFL. This is not for those who like to rocket catch, scramble EVERY play, abuse certain players, etc. Play smart, don't be afraid to punt, even on 4 and 1. Don't be afraid to throw the ball away, you know, the little things that players do in the NFL.

Notes

*When one of your players is being tackled, be smart about trying to shed the tackle as your chance of fumbling significantly increases. Sometimes it's better to just go down.
*Keep knocking. Run the ball, eventually it'll start to work. Don't just audible out of every run.
*Unless you use a custom GamePlan, DO audible out of the constant streaks that the default GamePlan's give you. Use the streaks realistically because the CPU does things like play a 4-3 against a 5 wide set which makes streaks a bit too easy at times.
*Please play a full games (don't quit at half time) because like real life, the game goes in swings. So maybe at half time your up 21-0, but the second have you might get dominated. The opposite is also true.
*Please give the sliders a couple of games before making changes and evaluating their effectiveness. Every game is not the same, though these sliders bring back defense, offensive shoot outs do occasionally happen like in real life. Every game is different with these. One game maybe you throw for 300 yards, and the next you barely manage 150.
*Try to lose the habit of when your on defense, and the CPU throws the ball, of quickly switching to the defender covering the receiver and pressing Y or Triangle to intercept/swat the ball. It makes it somewhat unrealistic as you can do some freakish things using this tactic.

Now, on to the sliders themselves. Sorry for the long introduction.

I don't have Special Teams sliders, sorry guys.

The really nice thing about these sliders is that you'll know who your star players are, but they won't be cheap. Teams, and players themselves, should be used to their strengths, which can be done in a realistic manner using these sliders. Also, average players aren't completely useless with these. They won't consistently put up numbers like the Pro Bowlers, but they won't be terrible either. They'll play like what they are.

I can't stress this enough, please guys, give it 2-3 games before making your final impressions and changing things in these sliders. I will be posting updates to the slider set if I see suited. Call this Version 1.0

Please guys, post your impressions and stat results.

Re: LegendRyder's Realistic Sliders for Realistic Players

These have some real potential. I had a FG fest only TD of the game was scored with 5 seconds left in the game after they went for a 4th down and got the ball on like the 20 yd line. I had NO luck whatsover in the running game. Vilma was everywhere it seemed. I had about 3 passes i believe that wr's had nobody around them but Alex Smith threw it nowhere close. They had a couple bigger plays on horrible tackling on MY part. I definantly will be giving these more of a chance.... Here are the stats of the game.

Re: LegendRyder's Realistic Sliders for Realistic Players

Okay played another game against the rams. I had a few big plays with Vernon Davis wide open. Still couldn't run the ball at all, stats look good because he had one long run of 57 yds. Played pretty good though had difficult time stopping Jackson other than that bradford would roll to the right if pressure and throw across the field...

rams 0 10 0 7 17
49ers 14 3 3 18 38

a. smith 11-31-273 2td 1int
bradford 16-32-263 1td 1int

F. Gore 13-78 (1 57 ydr)
Jackson 15-77

V. Davis 6-210 1td
F. Gore 2-19
M. Crabtree 1-9
L Robinson 4-49
M. Gilyard 4-65 1td
s. Jackson 2-31

Defense haralson had 4 sacks, tarrell brown pick 6....

Curious to see some others stats with these sliders...
