Just curious to see which CPU controlled teams and players seem to do really well in your franchise, other than the ones you'd might expect? I seem to remember a few people saying the Indians defied expectations in their franchises. Any other surprise teams you've come across, or players put up big numbers that you didn't expect?

Washington Nationals win the 2010 Nation League East Championship and later the NL Championship.

Well I'm atop the AL West with my Mariners. Competing with the Phillies for best record in all of baseball... But that's user controlled of course. The rest of my division is doing the usual no-one-in-the-AL-West-has-a-winning-record bit and I'm 22.5 games up on the 2nd place Rangers after the first week of August.

A-Rod is playing like he's on the juice again. .347, 49 HRs, 128 RBI.
Shin-Soo Choo started the All Star game and is hitting .321 with 25 HRs.
Brett Gardner has 10 HRs....
Marc Rzepczynski is 16-0
David Aardsma leads the league in saves with 44.
Manny Ramirez is hitting like he used to.

That's about all I see over here...

-Indians were a 98 win team in my Yankees Franchise.
-Mark Reynolds NL MVP: .307 44 HR 129 RBI
-Blue Jays won 85 games, which although is realistically possible this year, they were right there with the Yankees and Rays most of the year in the division race, fading away in mid-September.

In my Braves franchise the freaking Astro's won the NL Central by 10 games. That's pretty impressive with a team that has no power, no contact, and almost no pitching.

In my Yankees franchise, the Blue Jays have the best winning percentage in baseball. I'm only a few days into the second month though.

The Red Sox are in last place and are playing under .500. Clay Bucholtz leads the AL in era. This part I find sort of intriguing. He's dealing like it's real life.

Now that I think of it, I kind of hope that the Sox and Rays start to turn things around. I'd really like to be playing meaningful games against them, and not trying to shootout the division with Toronto.

I know it's early...as long as Boston and Tampa don't become sellers at the deadline, I'm sure they'll both get hot soon and keep things competitive.
