Idea for Madden Team #2: New Difficulty Mode

I was thinking it would be nice next year to have an extra difficulty mode somewhere between All-Pro and All-Madden. It seems a lot of people looking for sliders this year are trying to achieve this and adding another difficulty mode might even provide a better base for next year's sliders.

To me, this year's All-Madden difficulty is too much like a God-Mode in a game like Doom or something. In other words, the degree of difficulty from All-Pro (pretty easy) to All-Madden (insanely hard) is too extreme at this point. Hopefully, the upcoming patch fixes this issue but, even with the patch, I would still like to see another difficulty mode added for next year.

What are your guys' thoughts?

You can edit the sliders to create whatever default difficulty you want. If you want a difficulty in between All Madden and All pro just move all the sliders to 12 or 13....

Thats what i do, my sliders are set to 14.

Lord knows I've tried that, I've even tried things like 15, 15, 10, 10, and it still doesn't seem like a good fit to me. Maybe it's just me I don't know, but even with the those slider adjustments would it not be nice to have a legitimate in-between difficulty to then adjust sliders to?

It's a placebo effect.

All pro has all sliders at 10
All Madden has all sliders at 15

Why would it be different in between?

If they added another difficulty level it would be doing exactly what I said except maybe they would find a way to add a .5 so we could have 12.5.

Hmm good point. How about this make the difficulty in-between 15 and All-Madden in the 20s?

Then the new difficulty would be what All-Madden is now.

I like it the way it is. Completely customizable, and that makes me happy. I play with some sort of between All-Pro and All-Madden hybrid and I love it.

Does anyone customize their slider settings past 15 for any category? I ask this because is 16-20 even meaningful this year since 15 is pretty insanely difficult. My point is making All-Madden the 16-20 range (All-Madden as it plays now) and having another mode that covers the 11-15 range range (call it say Superstar Mode) would still allow for customization. In fact, even deeper customization, I believe.

And I'm not trying to knock the guys who use the 14, 14, 14, 14 or w/e combo you got going, because if it's working for you that's fantastic and I'm happy you found that balance. I'm actually shocked so far no one is supportive of an extra difficulty mode since I've seen a good number of people in the slider forums (like myself) trying to achieve that difficulty. I still feel there would be even better slider sets and maybe even less need for slider changes at all if there were a definitive mode in-between All-Pro and All-Madden.
