This **** does not work. Receivers never hold there blocks long enough, the right lineman never comes of the double team, and other then the DE nobody else bites fake. Running out of the spread in general is a crap shoot in this game. This sucks becuase I wanted to run the spread option becuase that's what my team ran in highschool.

I have broken off huge gains before in my Buffalo dynasty.

I've broken a few huge gains with MarQueis Gray at QB, but not many. Everything works except blocking at the second level. The problem is the whole thing is animation based and only the read DE is programmed, so none of the other defenders are programmed to freeze or pick a player to go after, they automatically follow the ball as programmed. So you need to hope that someone blocks the guy, which rarely happens.

I've got more than 10yards before.

It's really rare imo. If you play on a hard difficulty the OL doesn't hold blocks very long. You need the defense to be in man and have them all line up on one side.

At least that's how it's been on Heisman for me. Takes a long time to develop if you don't hold blocks long. JMO

I run almost exclusively out of the spread and average 200+ yards a game. It is hard to break off a nice QB run, but they do happen. The defensive AI will adjust to you, as I have noticed in the 2nd/3rd quarters that they will bring up their safeties or blitz LBs backside to counteract the read option.

yeah, I've had more read options get taken down in the backfield than any significant gains.
