One concern I do have about simulation mode...

Is that I get that "scripted" feeling like I got in Live 10....

I felt that, in order to maintain the great stats I was getting.....certain things were being predertimed to regulate it...After reading some of the devs comments on last years shooting, I believe this even more....

Just makes me wonder with sim mode coming back...

For what its worth though, the last game I played of 2ks with a sim mode (2k7) wasnt like this at all...

Re: One concern I do have about simulation mode...

I can't see any other way to get sim stats. I mean, unless there is some new AI technology that is 10 times smarter than what we're used to. With all the tendencies and sliders, it's still not up to the level where the CPU really "understands" what sim stats means. That's the way I see it.

If I'm totally wrong, feel free to correct me...

Naw, I can totally understand that, I was wondering the same thing ....but at the same time, like I said....in 2k7 the sim level felt "right"...and I still had pretty sim stats even on default HOF. I felt I made my good shots, and missed my bad ones....

Well, seems like 2K7 was a once-in-a-lifetime game...so not sure if we can ever go back to it.

When playing the cpu in any sports game it is very hard to not get a scripted feel. That's the nature of these games. CPU needs to run off code and it is very hard for it to replicate the human element of unpredictability. I've always wished that 2k had a real FG% mode that could be turned on/off similar to the Real FT% that they have.

I may not understand the whole real FG% thing, but if I do - wouldn't it mean that it would be even more scripted, like there's not much effect to when you release the ball etc.?

I think it was NBA 2Night ot NBA 2Night 2002, that had pretty much real FG%. The problem was that you could stand all alone with your best shooter and miss 3 in a row...
