Would you do this trade?

Denver sends to Detroit:

R. Balkman
C. Anthony
K. Martin
Jr. Smith

Detroit sends to Denver:

B. Gordon
R. Hamilton
C. Villaneuva
T. Prince
A. Daye
D. Summers

It works on the ESPN NBA Trade Machine, and it says both teams benefit equally. We're big Denver fans who don't want to lose Melo for nothing. I'm also tired of Jr Smith and Kenyon Martin.

As Denver, I would do this trade in a second and I think Detroit would like to restart.

This would give Detroit that star player they've been missing and also make Denver the deepest team in the league.

PG - Chauncy billups/ty lawson
SG - Richard hamiltion/ben gordon
SF - tayshaun prince/austin daye/summers
PF - Al harrington/villaneuva/summers
C - nene/andersen

Yay or Nay?

EDIT: Pertains to NBA 2k10 because i'd like to do it in my franchise

Re: Would you do this trade?

i'd take that if i were detroit. if i were denver, i wouldn't.

you could run a line up like...

bynum
stuckey
melo
k-mart
ben wallace.

smith, maxiell, and jerebko (sp?) coming off the bench.

Re: Would you do this trade?

Prince and Gordon are great for Nuggets to get, but getting JR Smith who's putting up better numbers than Prince and Smith is much younger. Martin can get close to averaging a double double and that anthony guy I hear is good as well lol

Re: Would you do this trade?

Jr smith has a terrible attitude. He took himself out of the game in the playoffs and might be the most inconsistent player with over 20 min a game in the league.

I'd trade him for a second round pick right now.

Also, Kenyon Martin is at the end of his career.

Melo is gone after this year, I guarantee it. We (denver) need to get something for him before he's gone.

Ben Gordon is the replacement for Smith, not Prince. Prince is a good defensive pickup and fundamentally strong starter, something the nuggets need.

IMO Melo is under-rated in the game. I traded him for Gay in my second season as the Grizz and won a chip with him...

So yes if you're Piston, yes. Well yes if you're either team, but a younger Melo is better than an aging Prince and Hamilton. Imo...

Re: Would you do this trade?

I would not ever do this trade. JR Smiths shot is button tap that is why he is so incosistent you don't know his shot!

And melo!? No way! You could go for him during free agency again and give him max contract! Prince and Rip are useless in this game. So is ben gordon for some reason.

KMart and Balkman I dont know.

I suggest doing a three team trade. I don't think denver wants to rebuild so keep melo and get him @ free agency and possibly someone else.
