how do you tackle in this game?

im serious i havent owned a madden since 04 but everytime i press X it never works. Everytime I punt taylor mays gets shoved aside every tackle.

X on playstation does nothing, X on xbox dives

neither actually tackles. you may incidentally tackle somebody by diving into them (especially the QB) but not somebody with good ELU or TRK ratings


basically if you want to tackle, just run into the ball carrier, or use the hitstick

I just switch to the closest player and just run into the ball carrier...
