Some defensive help please

I have been doing pretty good with pittsburgh in my dynasty. The last few games though i feel like i cant stop the other team when they are on offence. I was wondering, when i know its a run what should i choose, blitz, zone, man?

Also if i believe a pass is coming what should i prefer for defence?

Thanks for the help I love football, but dont understand the playcalling like some of you do.

Re: Some defensive help please

If you know there's gonna be a run, call a blitz where you think it'll be, if it's a pass, call something like a cover 2, or something where you have man-to-man with a safety in zone up high if it's a deep pass.

Try going into to practice mode and setting the offense to run different plays, such as runs and passes, then change you defense around and see what works. The general idea is to put a guy where the offensive guy will be.

If you know for sure a run is coming you can always use your "run commit".

If you squeeze the Left Trigger before the snap it'll bring up your defensive keys like "run left", "run right", "run middle", or "pass".

Also, don't forget to concentrate on securing your gap. If you get out of position and try to chase the back, you'll run right into a block and leave a wide open running lane.
