It is my opinion that I should not be required to have a minimum number of players at any position to start a game in franchise mode. As long as the depth chart is filled I should be able to fill my roster as I see fit.

Why do I have to have 10 O-linemen when real NFL teams use 7 or 8?

Edit: The poll question is messed up. Yes means you don't like the current roster minimums and no means you think the game is fine as is.

Do you agree or disagree?

agreed. why do i need 2 backup QBs? i'll just send the kicker in there and let him chuck the pigskin around for a few weeks while my starter heals up. or sign a cheap free agent to a one year deal. i agree that forcing you to sign players that you don't want is a bit ridiculous.

it's just a game. so i will play on the edge when it comes to freeing up much needed cap space. if only the game would let me.

your poll is not worded right. both options mean the same thing.
btw, i hate roster minimums. it's been a thorn in my side for years.

I ignored the wording in the poll and answered yes to the question you posed at the end of your opening post. I would like to see the minimum position types changed. It really should just be 53 players, but it would be nice if they subbed in accurately.

I know running a 4-3 you need like 5 or 6 DT's, but in Madden it never seems to matter if you just keep 3.

Real NFL rules would be nice. No minimums but 45 active gameday roster is what I want.

I agree on both points.

I think roster minimums are utterly silly, especially in franchise mode. Plenty of teams in the NFL don't use a FB, so why should you have to have on the roster?

That's exactly what I was going to say. I'm a colts fan. I don't even think we have a full back. The last full back I remember us using was Dan Klecko and that was only in goal line situations.

I imagine if you play as the colts on madden then very few of the plays will use a full back (apart from the generic ones that every team has). Why can't I just put Donald Brown in as my full back in case I ever need one and not have to have a full back on my roster that never gets used?

I can give no further points since the all over the place gameplay would ruin it anyway.
