Guys are destroying the course this morning, there's hardly any wind to speak of.

McElroy is currently leading at -8 thru 17

Tiger is -6 thru 14, has birdied 3 in a row...

Yeah i'm up early to watch this. McIlroy has been looking good, flirting with the major championship single round record, but then just missed a putt right there.

Tiger Woods has been playing a steady first round : pars and birdies. He has a new putter with grooves in it that he really likes. Woods looks determined in the early stages of this tournament.

I just love watching golf @ St. Andrews in HD, just a beautiful golf course. My father had the pleasure of playing there about 10 years ago and he still talks about it.

McElroy is about to shoot a 63.

How about John Daly too? Shot a 66.

Yeah it's a unique course. The greens and bunkers are unlike anything you'll see in any other course.

McIlroy looks good. He's very technically sound. He hits safe shots with good contact. We'll see if he can keep this up.

And yeah I was just gunna mention Daly. In the clubhouse with a 66, currently tied with Woods at -6. If Daly hits straight shots, he can excel at this course.

The course is obviously playing easy on the opening day due to the lack of heavy wind. This could change if the wind picks up later in the week.

I look forward to the Open Championship every year. I really enjoy it when it's at St Andrews. I usually am up by 4am so it was really cool to watch live HD golf while I worked out.

Daily had 4 putts lip out so he could have really done some damage. Good to see him play well. He say's he loves St Andrews. Hard to believe McElroy is just 21. Good stuff.

I love watching the Open when the weather conditions are bad. When the conditions are like this St. Andrews is not even a challenge for the pros. If the weather comes in the afternoon 1/2 the field is already going to be eliminated

Daly was impressive, more impressive than he's been in a while. He gets in his own way, his talent has never been the question. He does love St. Andrews though. Lots of low score early, but the weather will be huge later. We'll see how it goes.
