Help: Resigning RFA in Association

I got a 92 rated PG who is coming out of his rookie contract now (was the 3rd pick in the draft.) I offered him a max 5-year contract but he keeps rejecting it. I saw a computer sign a player to a 6-contract, is there any way I can do that with my PG?

Btw, I offered the 5-year deal straight and as a 4-year player-option. Just need some help here to win a title

Just let him test free agency and what he signs for just match it, that's what RFA is all about. And you will have him back.
