Canes21 Sliders NCAA 11

Hello NCAA community. This is my first year making sliders for NCAA, but I feel these are very good. I was striving for a realistic challenge that was also fun and did not make the CPU cheat to win.

I spent a lot of time in practice mode just getting a base to start off with. Then after that I took it to play now and tweaked it from there. Than when I got a better set, I started the online dynasty below. From there I have tweaked it a bit to get it to where I want it.

With this set one of the first things I wanted to accomplish was to make a realistic passing game. As the game comes out of the box, the coverage in this game is terrible. You'll see DB's making cuts on routes before the WR does. So that was the very first thing I worked on and thats basically what made me create a slider set.

Once I got the passing game down, I worked on the rushing game and got it to where I couldn't get 4.0 YPC every game easily. If I play a defense like UNC its going to be hard to do anything on offense. But if I play a team like Miami University, moving the ball won't be too difficult.

I hope you at least try this set and leave feedback. Give me ideas what you think needs to be tweaked and what not. I'd also like to mention this set is being used for the OS Legend's Online Dynasty, so you know something is right about it.

V1.2 Post Patch #2

All American
8 Minute Quarters
Slow Game Speed
25 Speed Threshold

Penalties: Holding, Clipping, and Facemask at 55. All others at 95. (this has gotten me other penalties outside the main three>
Hum-Cpu

QB Accuracy............20-35
Pass Blocking...........50-40
WR Catching............45-50
RB Ability.................40-85
Run Blocking.............45-100
Pass Coverage..........55-55
Pass Rush................55-55
Interceptions............20-30
Run Defense.............10-90
Tackling...................35-60
FG Power.................45-45
FG Accuracy.............15-65
Punt Power...............45-45
Punt Accuracy...........20-75
Kickoff Power.............45-45

**I did these sliders a little different than the pre-patch set. Instead of going off looks like I did in the past, I went by results. I ran the same routes against man constantly tweaking the pass coverage until I got a realistic outcome of success, then I tried the play against random defensive plays until I found a realistic outcome. So, I am going to be honest and say you might see a little DB mirroring, but you should still get realistic stats.

I have come to the decision you can't get this game to look 100% realistic and give you realistic stats. You have to do some things that may shake your head at times, but those are rare and are faults within the core gameplay. If we had realistic coverage in the base game, these sliders would be totally different, but I have to account for what this game does wrong and I have to try and correct it the best I can.**

Please give me feedback on what can be improved.

Re: Canes21 Sliders NCAA 11

I was actually very satisfied with Heisman on default settings... they are very tough but I was getting great results.

I just want sliders where I actually lose every once in awhile.

I'll give these a shot in a bit

I'm interested in these as well. I'd love to see the stats from a couple games. Although, I feel like the game plays pretty well out of the box, so we'll see how sliders effect the game. Good luck.

Someone post stats please.

But in my opinion, the default sliders aren't bad.

Re: Canes21 Sliders NCAA 11

Miami (CPU): 38
at Florida (Me): 14

I only did 7 minute quarters. Overall I thought the sliders played pretty good...most fun I've had during a loss in a long time. Mind you I don't have the patch yet...so idk how much that will have bearing on my results. I don't feel like I called my best game, but the reason the score looks as lopsided as it does is Jeff Demps fumbled three times on our side of the 30 and I'm still trying to get a hang of controlling guys on defense, blew right past a Miami ball carrier twice and gave them some long gains. 5 turnovers on our side really hurt us...though Miami also turned the ball over 3 times. Fumbles seem to be a bit of an issue in this game; I'm going to have to be more aware and cover up a bit more.

For guys interested in the total plays run for a 7 minute game.

55 total plays for Florida; 64 total plays for Miami...8 minute quarters is probably the way to go to get accurate play count.

Individual Stats:

UF - QB John Brantley: 21/38 55% 297 2 TD's 2 INT's
UF - RB Jeff Demps: 7 car. 61 yds 8.7 AVG (Long of 36) 3 fumbles
UF - RB Emmanuel Moody: 2 carries 3 yards
UF - WR Andre Dubose: 5 rec. 145 yards TD

Defense: 1 INT 0 sacks

UM - QB Jacory Harris: 16/25 221 yards 3 TDs INT
UM - RB Greg Cooper: 22 carries 64 yards TD
UM - WR 85: 6 rec. 127 yards TD

Defense: 2 sacks 2 INTs 4 FF

Tweaking Suggestions:

May want to up the HUM Pass Coverage a nudge. Can't remember if I had WR Catch at 55 or 50...3 drops for both teams which is reasonable. May need to up HUM Throw ACC...Wasn't bad for John Brantley but if you play with a lesser QB it could be pretty bad. I'll do a game with a lesser team next time and see what I get. Other than that so far I think the sliders are pretty damn good. IDK if there is a way to reduce RB's fumbling problems but I believe there were 7 fumbles in this game on both sides. Thats a little troubling in my opinion. IDK if there is anything we can do slider wise to help that.
