NCAA Football 2011 Roster Size

Does anyone know if EA will finally increase the roster size to the NCAA limit of 85? Having it at 70 is completely pointless!!!

Figured. If they are going to make it realstic, at least make it the NCAA scholarship limit of 85. It like they just pull a number out of thin air instead of making it what it should be. These are next generation consoles, increase it to 85 will not hurt and affect anything.

How many next-gen games have you made to make this statement? I'd venture to guess they have it at 70 for a very particular reason. I'd rather it be completely accurate, but I assume that there is a reason it's not. I know too many developers to call any of them lazy, so let's not go down that road either.

Actually, I am a developer and have been for almost 11 years now, so I can go down that road! My whole point is that it boils down to storage and code indicator limits. And storage is the cheapest and easisest thing to add. And the NG consoles have plenty of storage available as well as the DVD-ROM the game is placed on. But all the playeres are generated on the console, not the DVD, so storage is not a problem. It would be a simple code change! It was once at 55, they went up to 70, it's been 70 for several years now. They need to go to 85.

I would rather them work on core game play than worrying about adding 15 players to each teams roster, besides the 15 players that they have to cut off are likely guys who won't play anyway. If they DO add 15 players to each team that is 1800 players total that they have to put in the game, and if the rosters are as messed up as they are now. Then I can't imagine how bad they would look if the roster size was 85 per team.
