Bringing Back the Best Defense:A Ravens Dynasty

Okay, so after realizing the Pistol offense ruined my offense, I've decided to try again with the Baltimore Ravens. So without further ado, lets begin!

I've decided to run the Holmgren West Coast, and the Phillip 3-4. Both work well with my style of play.

18 Day Count Down:
I opt to not franchise tag anyone.

Free Agency:

HB Ryan Moats (80);Will be my starter

Trades:
Traded for MLB Patrick Willis, gave up DT Kelly Gregg (80), a 2008 6th round pick, and a 2009 2nd round pick; MLB Bart Scott (86) will be moved to LOLB, Patrick Willis will be my number 2 MLB

Traded for CB Antonio Cromartie, gave up SS Dawan Landry (86) and a 2009 4th round pick;Cromartie will be my 2nd CB for the time being

Traded for QB Kevin Kolb for a 5th round pick (156);Will be my starter.

I think I made a few good trades, and obviously didn't break the bank. All that's left to do is the draft.

Up Next:The Draft!

If Willis is your no.2 MLB, who's your no.1? I also would have kept SS Dawan Landry.

Ray Lewis. I run a 3-4 so I need 2 MLB. Also, the reason I traded Dawan Landry is because it was either that or giving up a first round pick or two second rounders.

Re: Bringing Back the Best Defense:A Ravens Dynasty

The Draft!

3rd Overall- ROLB Keith Rivers
Okay, seeing that I can could fill the holes on my team in later rounds in the draft, I decided to perfect my LB core. I had to give up TE Todd Heap, a 7th round pick, and my 8th overall pick. Yes, it was a bit pricey, but I think it will be worth it.

38th Overall-
Not seeing anyone I'm overly interesting in traded down. I received an 3rd round (78) pick, and a 2009 2nd round pick from the Saints.

78th Overall-
Earl Bennett was taken before me, and I needed a few more picks, so I traded down. I received a two fourth round picks(105 and 118) and, a 5th round (143).

105th Overall- WR Mario Manningham
I needed some support in the passing game and Manningham is really good.

107 Overall-SS Craig Steltz
I Didn't have a SS so this was an obvious pick.

118 Overall-
Traded down. Got a 5th round(169)pick, and a 2009 7th round pick.

139 Overall-DT Athya Rubin
Beast.

143 Overall-FB Carl Stewart
I like to run the ball with the FB sometimes, an Stewart has a 90+ in speed.

200 Overall pick-Tony Bake
My LE is getting old, and Tony Bake will be a decent backup.

Undrafted Rookies
HB Chauncey Washington
C Dale Lankford
ROLB Geno Hayes
SS Caleb Campbell

Afterthoughts:
A good Draft. We filled almost all our needs, and in my opinion have created the best defense in the NFL.
