97-98 roster V1 and possible franchise file (wip)

I finally finished all the ratings for my 97-98 roster except for the denver nuggets. It's up on 2kshare with the same gamertag: AlphaOmegaDMC.

I didn't finish the nuggets because the lack of some teams not having enough players for a proper rotation (ex. raptors only having 6 guys against spurs having 10). It was really bothering me so I decided to wrap up doing ratings and not finish tendencies along with the nuggets and start an association file.

What I am curious about is that I don't have the 360xplorer but I managed to get Backbreaker NFL rosters on my 360 using a tool and I would be willing to do the same if anyone can confirm the tool can be used for other games as well.

The association file will have every player missing along with me sharing future draft classes and stadium sounds already set up. I figure this could be a decent way for old heads like myself that enjoyed basketball back in the 90's more than what we have today lol. But that all depends on ppl's interest around here.

Plz give feedback btw if u manage to notice any irregularities.

Thanks for posting this, as a fellow roster maker I appreciate the time it takes to do this.

Your ratings look good in my opinion. I think a lot of the cap's you downloaded from 2k share need some touching up on their appearances. Some players more than others.

Signature shooting styles also need to be looked at because most of the guys that upload cap's on to 2k share don't even bother editing those. Like for example too many players have the same "basic" jumpshot.

Some trades were missed. Rony Seikaly was traded to the Nets, David Benoit should be with Orlando.

yea i noticed alot of players movesets are off. i just went ahead and decided that making a franchise file and adding missing players via draft would be my best option and then i would tweak and tuned players tendencies and moves.

as far as seikaly it was said he was traded mid season so i left him.

oh yea does anybody know how to keep legends from retiring. just wondering lol.

thx again for checking it out

It's always more realistic to keep players on the team where they finished the season as opposed to where they started it, in my opinion. But it's your roster and you said that you want to play a franchise so based on that you might like having players start the season where they did, and end it wherever they end up over the course of the fictional season.

Anyway...do you plan on going back and editing player appearances and signature styles and re-uploading?

i'm not 100% yet on going back to the roster as i'm already working on the missing guys right now. but i was thinking that maybe i should complete as many top teams as I possibly can under the CAP limit and just have a roster file with all the playoff teams complete and an association with everything.

would u happen to know any fixes for the player roles option? i was messing around and manage to see a couple of games where big guys didn't toss up any three pointers

just so you know, you can download 150 players, and they will be visible in the cap section. then you can download another 50 from 2k share. those extra 50 will still be editable, but won't be visible like the first 150 cap's. total amount of cap's is 200.

yea i'm thinking maybe anywhere from 16 to 19 can be whole. i guess i can take some suggestions outside of the playoff teams. but i'm gonna finish the association file 1st
