Alex Zimmermann - The Career Of A Swiss In The NHL

The Hockey Magazine

The EHC Olten is a small hockey club in the second Swiss league, also known as the National League B (NLB). This is where Top Prospect Alex Zimmermann scores his goals. We met him for a interview.

Hockey Magazine: Alex, how are you ?

Alex Zimmermann: Great.

HM: What are your expectations in the draft?

AZ: I'd like to get drafted top 10.

HM: You are known as a sniper. So your favorite part of the game is scoring?

AZ: That and the physical play.

HM: What was your favorite part of last season?

AZ: It was being allowed to play a couple of games with the SC Bern.

HM: That is in front of winning the championship in the NLB ?

AZ: Yes. That's because the SC Bern is the club I've bin going to watch games since I was a small boy.

HM: What NHL-Club would you like to play with?

AZ: Probably the Islanders because they've got another Swiss in they roster (Mark Streit). But I actually don't care too much as long I can play there.
