NHL 11: The Small Stuff

All things that are not gameplay or anything major can be discussed here. (Crowd, Ice, Goalie Pads, Crowd's Towels, Scoreboard, Jersey's, Celebrations, Menu's, Lighting, Custom Music, Arenas, Equipment, etc)

I'm really liking the In-Game scoreboard this year. It looks alot more slick than the previous games. I would perfer the actual logo's of the teams you're using on the Scoreboard, but what they did this year is fine.

Re: NHL 11: The Small Stuff

The new in-game score clock looks great. I love that they list the goal scorers (and players who assisted) after a goal.

Some other thoughts:

- It's unfortunate EA hasn't done anything for the intermission. I'm honestly sick of the replay reel/scouting report they've done for three years straight. They should really consider doing an intermission similar to 2K's, with more depth and info in the season modes.

- I really hope they haven't resorted to using the generic black silhouette for various players, draft picks, and created folks. It's kinda disheartening to see my team in the later years of my BeAGM game just be made up of blank photos.

- The goal celebrations have been fixed, but I'd love to see the animations of the players who gave up the goal to be fixed up.

I'm really liking the camera angle for the faceoffs. Feels like TV with the different angle and then switching back to the normal angle after the faceoff.

Hopefully they put in real goalie helmets.

- Can they please fix the post-whistle animations? I don't ever think I've seen a player do the stereotypical "thinker's" pose during a stoppage in play.

They need to fix the puck from appearing through white stick tape. It's been in the game for the past 2-3 years and it's annoying.

I am finally happy that EA has fixed all the teams goal horns to match what they sound like in real life. EA Sports NHL twitter confirmed they were fixed for this years game.
