Learning About Baseball

I've recently gotten more into baseball, but at a very small level. I want to get more into it and learn more about it. Like learning about the terminology, different pitches, tendencies and things of the such.

I'm not sure if there are books that really break that stuff down but anything will help. Just want to be more knowledgeable because like I said i've recently gotten really interested and also I even bought a baseball game that I absolutely suck at but I like it.

Thanks.

Just go to your local book store and check the sports section...plenty of books on baseball. I think most folks would agree that you learn the most by playing/watching the game. Of course, you can always ask questions here!

If you can, watch it with a baseball fan. They can help explain things on the fly as you are seeing it. A book can have still images, but it loses something.

Playing baseball video games will also help you learn the game and who the current players are pretty well too.

Re: Learning About Baseball

he best way I have found is watch a game with someone who knows baseball well and keep a scorebook while doing it. i started having my girlfriend sit in the dugout and keep our book during our games, and every game she has asks fewer and fewer questions, now she only asks questions on trickier plays, like if you get an rbi on a error and things of that sort (btw no you dont)
