I've been playing without issue and have been wondering if I even need the newest patch. I don't want to run into freezes that I didn't have before lol. Do I need the newest patch? What actually fixes are in it if I don't play online?

Your call, really...so long as you aren't using that glitched patch 3 with the run scoring glitch not upgrading would be fine...don't know why you wouldn't, per se, as the newest patch is fine (the only thing I've noticed is that the bullpen freeze seems to happen a tad more frequently), but you'll be fine not upgrading.

If you're fine with how it is, then I wouldn't worry about the patch. The only reason you'd NEED it is if you wanted to play online or download rosters or whatever else.
Before I got the patch, I was thinking about freezes too. But, honestly, it hasn't froze up on me once since getting it. It's worked perfect.

Does this patch fix the crazy trades made by the computer? Or is there any way to fix that without making two profiles? Thank you all for the help

I haven't downloaded the patch yet. For me, the only issues without are the dropped ball four error and the Tropicana Freeze. I get around the dropped ball four error by simply not throwing a ball in the dirt with 3 balls. The Trop freeze I deal with by not playing in Tropicana. It gives me a chance to try out some new stadiums. Many people say that there is a freeze associated with the 3rd patch and many say there isn't. There is nothing more frustrating to me than a game that freezes, so I think I will take my chances without it. Unless there is some other reason to download the patch that I am not aware of.
