New Roster From 6/14 Update...

well guys this is probably asking for it but I have decided to take next Monday's 6/14 update which should feature the SCEA caps of Strasburg and Mike Stanton who will both debut tuesday...the update will already have a ton of missing players from early on so it should be a great set...my goal is to make this a complete minors set...I also have come up with some really good minor league attributes to get better/realistic numbers....this will take some time, probably at least 30 days......I will take help if anyone wants to join in on this project.....this is in no way to compete with the OS full minors set ..this is just because some like the SCEA caps and this set will feature some of the changes SCEA has implemented in the last few weeks as well as the career stats for guys like Jim edmonds etc....if you are interested in helping out let me know.

This sounds great. I keep hearing about the top players being in the free agent list after a few years with earlier rosters that have been done. So these rosters would be great if that is the case.

very nice to hear ridin. i was going to do the same thing with the update with strasburg and stanton. i made a thread about it and nobody responded. i was wondering if anybody would help me too but seeing that you're gonna make a roster set probly seems a little more encouraging to other people because of your great history in full minors roster making. i can probly help you but i really can't do faces, batting stances, or pitching motions. i am way more of an overall ratings/updated roster moves kinda guy so thats where i could most likely help you. this is great news to us all because knight and co. spectacular work pretty much is dead after the 2012/2013 season with all the studs in the free agency. i haven't tested any SCEA roster releases to see what free agency looks like later in franchise, but i heard its good enough. sorry for dragging on, i'm a little excited for the roster set.

Mike

I am trying to figure out this issue with the progress of franchise mode.

As I understand it, the Knight roster has too many high potential guys in it because of how SCEA did the opening roster. The new SCEA rosters have lower potentials, I've read, and offer better long-term results FA-wise.

Is this accurate? I have also heard that the new SCEA roster with lower potentials has a drawback in that too many players suck in future seasons because of low potential.

Any clarification would be greatly appreciated.

yes knights roster has too many high potential players in the roster set. after the 2012 season in franchise mode, there are a lot of free agents available with 'A' overall ratings. and as the years go on, they keep on coming to the free agency and rotting there. to my knowledge, the new SCEA roster updates of late have significantly less A potential players. guys like joe mauer, hanley ramirez, etc potentials seem to be randomly generated every time you download the live roster set. there are also a lot less A potential pitchers available in the minors. ridin and co. releasing a roster set is great news for those real anal franchise players because it will do a little justice to the FA in later years. hope i was helpful.
