Chris Pronger...

I'm sorry, I'm usually not this blunt but... has Chris Pronger always been such a douchebag? Did anyone see his interview after game 1? What a joke. He was/is an arrogant prick. I hope he gets hit like Eric Lindross. I'd love to see Byfuglien lay that clown out and clean his teeth out.

Re: Chris Pronger...

They were talking about that on WIP (philly sports talk) this morning. Moreso in a general way of Pronger not allowing the press to fashion a question so that it makes it look like something you said, when you didn't .... which I can appreciate, because, let's face it, journalism ain't journalism any longer. Pronger will not put himself in that position .... suggesting he is actually listening and thinking through the implications of a question versus blindly and quickly answering it. I admire that.

Re: Chris Pronger...

I like the fact that he goes against the norm. And that even reporters are kind of scared with him and that he ridicules some of their questions in a playful way.

I met him at a Ducks charity event last year and he was very funny. He takes great pleasure that he is portrayed as a grand villain.

And damn he's tall.

Re: Chris Pronger...

I love his antics in postgame interviews. All those guys are out to make something out of nothing anyway, so might as well have fun with it.

Now if I was a journalist, it'd be hell to interview him. But as just a fan, it's awesome.

Re: Chris Pronger...

Byfuglien lay our Pronger? Please pass over some of that stuff you're smoking.

Pronger controls the media rather than letting them control him. Plain and simple.

He apparently also controls the refs because he seems to be able to blatantly interfere with players and use his stick as a tool to clear the ice of pesky opponents without ever drawing a penalty. I will say he's pretty damn good at disguising it. But he does it - all game long.

I've hated his guts since the Wild-Ducks series a couple years back. What a douche.

Re: Chris Pronger...

I have a feeling if Chris was on your team you would love him. In fact I wonder if we can find some old post about Chris and see what the Flyers fans had to say about him. I bet that would be very interesting reading.

Re: Chris Pronger...

Pronger is a straight G.

He does douchey stuff and is dirty, but I like it.

This is playoff hockey. He's trying to get in the minds of the Hawks, althought it hasn't really worked.
