So what's the word on PS3 vs 360 version?

Let's not have a console war. I don't think there has been any content differences, anyone seen any comparisons on the graphics front? There has been a lot of controversy in recent games about 360 games doing better graphically than the PS3. NBA2k and Red Dead: Redemption both look better on 360, from personal experience.

For those of us who have both consoles, what is the recommendation?

Re: So what's the word on PS3 vs 360 version?

I've had the 360 demo for a week now... (I borrowed a friend's 360 just for this demo...lol)

I have both the 360 demo playing in one input and PS3 one on the other....and I'm flicking in between both and they seem the same...

mind you I'm using an older 360 that has no HDMI, component only.....but still looks great......and HDMI for the PS3 version...and that one looks great as well.

at first I thought the 360 version looked better, when I first started PS3 one...but then I compared the two and noticed the display settings were different between each input setting on my TV....so I adjusted the display setting for the PS3 version (made it alittle darker and increased the sharpness alittle)

and they look the same to me.....I played in the same San Francisco stadium with the same teams..... and let a replay from the menu run in slow motion and kept going back and forth between the two....

I also played one play for each version to see the responsiveness....and they seem similar.

the sound on the PS3 version is sounds much better...but that is the same with most games.....but I believe the 360's retail version will have some sort of custom soundtrack.

edit- also like I said in my other thread...played split screen on the PS3 version and that ran fine.....and just finished up playing an online game and that run smooth...

online is kind of weird though, it reminded me of Burnout and how it doesn't really have to load...it seemed to go straight to online with no loading.

Anyone else have some insight? Might go pick this up tomorrow. Are rosters looking better on Ps3 or 360 as far as sharing?

It's certainly alot easier with the PS3 than it is on the 360.

Re: So what's the word on PS3 vs 360 version?

Haven't played the 360 version, but the PS3 version has noticeable slowdowns during field goal kicks and a lot of people involved in one tackle. Some people call this a "framerate issue," but that's not the case as the game literally slows down a bit. It's not bad by any means, just wanted to point this out though in case the 360 version doesn't have it.

It looks absolutely beautiful though and runs very smoothly otherwise.

I usually don't respond to these or get involved because it is so a matter of personal taste. I for one the that Red Dead looks better on the PS3 and yes I have played it on both. I don't play basketball so I will go with you on that one. So my recommendation is just get which one you want. This thread will probable go down hill quickly but there are plus's and minus's to both so just enjoy it.

i would think they are identical, perhaps the sound was better on the ps3 as it was using hdmi?

i will be getting it on 360, nothing against ps3 but i prefer the 360 controller and i like achievements...

I played the 360 demo for awhile but bought the PS3 version. I have not noticed any difference. If there is, you'd have to play them side by side. Either or is fine.
