2k5 non-franchize freeze(PS3)

Hey everyone,

For the last two days I have had this really frustrating game freeze on 2k5. I start to play and randomly in the middle of the game ( it doesn't matter whether I'm in a game or menu) it just freezes. The music continues the plays keep going,people run by themselves and I just cant control any one. I thought it might be my game but I just bought a new copy and the same thing is still happening. My controller works perfect for my other games. Could some one help me out with this?

So far I have tried changing my control configuration from 1/1-A to 2/2-A, 1B ect.. nothing... I have tried deleting all my files..nothing.. The only thing I have not tried is using a diff controller because I dont have another one.

What would the controller have to do with it? Not sure.

Sounds like the disc. Try a 3rd disc and see what happens.

Yesterday I switched the memory card slot from 1 to 2 and the game worked perfect for about an hour. I'm not sure what difference the memory card makes.

I got a third copy today and still the same problem occurs. I'm hoping its nothing to do with the last ps3 update. I haven't tried using other ps2 games yet so I'm not sure whether a different game would bring the same results. Its frustrating because I have exhausted everything I know so far.

ok so I have pretty much given up all hope on trying to lay 2k5. I think I might have the same issue with other ps2 games but I'm not going to find out. There is nothing else to do but give away my 2k5 copies and forget about it all together.

Sometimes it is so frustrated until i broke the disc into pieces.
