Surprise Teams in 2010

Rule 1: No homers.
Rule 2: Surprise can be good or bad.

Here is my good surprise team of 2010, I predict for South Florida to win the Big East and finish 11-1, only losing to Florida.

My bad surprise team is Penn State who I predict will go 8-4 with losses to Alabama, Iowa, Michigan, and Ohio State. I also think there is a chance Georgia will go 5-7 with losses to SC, Arkansas, Miss. State, Tennessee, UF, Auburn, GaTech.

Re: Surprise Teams in 2010

I wish I was that optimistic about USF's season. ha

For the bad surprise, I can't see Alabama doing anything close to what they did last year due to losing a majority of their defense and being in the SEC which destroys inexperience (especially on the defensive side of the ball)

As for the good surprise I think it could be any team; college football seems completely wide open this year and I have a feeling a new program will claim its spot at the top. I'm just not sure who.....

Auburn will be near the top of the SEC.

Michigan will win 8-10 games.

Illinois goes winless.

USC wins 7 games.

OSUWest wins the Pac 10

McElroy underperfoms (i'm being serious) much to the distaste of thousands of Bammer, eventually costing them a game

Get on the UNC bandwagon people. Hopefully LSU nudges them in Week 1, but they're one of the stacked un-stacked teams, if that makes any sense.

Beaves win the Pac 10 (as OSUfan said)

I don't mind if he "underperfoms", just as long as he performs.

Good surprise of 2010- Texas A&M wins 9 or 10 games. The talent level on there roster is finally getting up there and hopefully with a new defensive coordinator the defense will at least marginally improved.

Re: Surprise Teams in 2010

2 out of 4 predicting Alabama for the bad. Glad that we're finally back to where us being less than great is a surprise. For the longest time it was the reverse where people had us being good as the surprise. Anyway...

Good:
-Arkansas finishes 2nd in the SEC West and wins 10 games.
-UCLA wins the Pac 10

Bad:
-LSU fails to get to another New Year's Day Bowl
-TCU wins less than 10 games

Good surprise: Arkansas will win 9 games

Bad surprise: Tennessee will not go to a bowl(maybe not a surprise to most)
