Formation substitutions????

I am new to the PS3 version of Madden and I am just starting a franchise but I am having a problem finding where to do the substitutions by formation. On the PS2 it was in the coaching options. I like to sub my DE's and RB's for a 2 back system and have it set for the entire season. Can anyone point me to the location? Thanks.

You have to do it at the playcall screen and the subs will stay for
the season.

Only works for offline franchises though. In online franchises you have to sub players in every game.

Re: Formation substitutions????

Hopefully this is addressed. It's really horrible that you aren't able to update your special teams units or anything else pre-game.

One of the most fundamental aspects of running a football team, is controlling which players play and when.

I would hope with the expanded week-to-week "game-planning" stuff, this option would make a return. It would be great to have more control over week to week match-ups and as I stated previously, special teams.

How do you get the substitutions to save? I have had to redo mine every game so far, and I am in an offline CCM.

You can change it in the beginning of the game by pressing R1 at the playcall screen. It will let you sub players.

My problem is I have to do it every game. It wont save.

Re: Formation substitutions????

I really miss having a formation sub screen outside of the the main game. I also miss setting my special team units. Can't believe we could do it PS1 generation, but not PS3. Hopefully it will make a comeback one day.
