***PSP Roster Update***

Updated: 6/3

Here's a PSP roster update I created based off of dfine1966 roster update posted on here.

This update includes dozens of 1) position edits 2) equipment/stance edits 3) player rating edits (based off of SCEA's PS3 latest roster update). Anywho, give em' a try and PLEASE give me feedback on correct stances/equipment/movements so I can include it in my next update.

Note: Because of SCEA roster limitations many teams have incorrect players. This generally cannot be fixed without placing more incorrect players on teams. I did the best I could to get most players on correct teams but some players who have no team at the moment are on other teams. But please make suggestions about movements anyway.

*Install*

Unzip the folder and place it in your PSP>SaveData folder.

There's no audio option in the game (to select specific player audio names). So when you enter a name, if its in the system it will play it.

Re: ***PSP Roster Update***

I would love to download these rosters and I hope you continue to make updates for them. But every time I try to open it on my computer it wont let me. So I think the file is corrupted. Hope you have time to fix it and I hope to see more updates

Are there any player edits, or is it strictly aesthetics?

Re: ***PSP Roster Update***

I tried them and they worked. Can you check the ratings of the Rockies Carlos Gonzalez. He is rated low and I am curious if he is rated differently in the PS3 version. It looks like the same ratings they gave him in '09 the Show.

Also, add Chris Carter to the Mets roster and demote Catalonatto.

For the Rockies, promote Paul Phillips and demote Chris Ianetta. Jeff Francis is back in the rotation and demote Matt Daley.

Thanks.

Re: ***PSP Roster Update***

I managed to fix my PSP, it wasn't a serious problem, so I ended up spending today working on rosters.

I didn't make my own from scratch like I intended. I figured that since I had something good, why start it all over?

So here's what I did:

I added:

Brennan Boesch (DET)
Brad Thomas (DET)
Starlin Castro (CHC)
Justin Smoak (TEX)

Now, to add them in, I had to remove a few people. I removed Takahashi from the Mets, Mather from the cardinals, Rhyne Hughes from the Orioles and some no name pitcher. I'd add more players, but none in bhs's CAPs set are worth removing someone else.

------

I went through the free agents and added players to teams, as well some trades (Such as Saul Rivera to ARZ.) I also went through, team by team using the wikipedia pages for each team to assign players to the majors or to AAA based on those pages. So, Andre Ethier, for example, is currently in AAA.

Since I can't control injuries, the CPU will most likely override these and just throw those kinds of players back in, but it's close.

Another problem that you may notice, is that some teams have players they don't have in real life, or that some teams are missing players who are listed in the free agents. This is because I had to add everyone to their correct teams, so the only people that are affected are going to be your C-D-F potential no name players. I don't believe it should be a big problem.

The other problem is since I can't create players, the rosters aren't completely accurate, so some players are on the teams that aren't actually there in real life.

--------

Finally, the last thing I did is I updated each team's rotation according to their MLB.com depth chart. The same problem is present as before: Not everyone is there, some people aren't really pitching on the team.

---------

In closing, these rosters aren't perfect. Since SCEA caps us at 19 created players, they're never going to be perfect. But we're working with what we have and this is a pretty darned good set if I say so myself.

To anyone who may disagree with this set or doesn't like it, I say to you: Make your own and share it with the rest of us. Collaboration is key since we can no longer download roster updates.
