Deflections and self blocked shots

So I was trying to get more blueline scoring and I was noticing that I was just hitting my own guys and causing injuries and got zero deflections, in fact my CPU wouldn't send a guy to the lip of the crease ever. Is there some sliders or something that I can change so the my guys will deflect shots instead of just standing with their back to the play getting hit with pucks, fracturing their elbows and lacerating their arms?

try setting offense strategy to full attack and try Crash the net and for Power Play try Shooting. you might also create some plays so you get some traffic perhaps. Also sometimes a simple wrister is easily deflected over a slapper.

One thing about shooting from the point is that, from what I have found, moving a little to one side or another before you let one fly really opens up a shooting lane for you. Just what I have found that works for me, after having many many shots blocked by not just the opponents, but my own mates as well.

What I do on the powerplays sometimes is have it to shooting, pass it to the point and across try faking a shot to get a guy to go down to try and block and step around or pass to the other point man and take a slapper or even a wrister.

You will get a lot more tips and deflections this way.
