I had been patiently waiting for the patch notes. I still am, so this won't be a complaining thread about "where is the patch".
I shelved franchise mode, simply because there were too many glaring issues that ruined the experience for me. You know the big problems (injuries, errors, the draft leaving CPU rosters full of generated players while major leaguers are sent down)... so, hopefully this can be fixed. But I can't play franchise mode. So that mode is out.
Personally, I don't play on-line, so I can't offer an opinion. But, in my case, that mode is out.
So, while I wait, I will play My Player, right? Well, I just started a pitching career, and something (either the fatigue bug or just plain poor AI management) caused my pitcher to be left in the game for 8 innings, allowing 22 hits and 7 runs (all 22 hits are singles.) Putting aside the frustration with the pitching in general (you just can't get realistic numbers for user pitching), the fact that I will pitch 8 innings almost no matter what ruins this one for me.
So, I'm down to my player as a position player. I'm having fun with it, at least, so this game has one singular bright spot.
Just an opinion, but this upcoming patch will make or break this series for a lot of people. Unless this patch is just awesome, I'm afraid that this will be another lost year for mlb 2k.

Walked down this exact same road, myself. My Player mode is really the only thing I do with this game anymore (at least until the patch comes... and actually fixes things), but I have to ignore the impossible sim-stats the game produces. When Ryan Hanigan steals more bases in a year than Brandon Phillips, something is very, very wrong.
