Training Assignments

First time user of The Show. Using 2010. In Franchise I am discovering more and more things as I go along. One I just noticed is "Training Assignments"

I am 16 games into the season, when I click on this, it shows various tick boxes
under various positions for various training things.

At the bottom it all says 0/* ie 0 of everything, I have no sessions available, so the obvious question is why? How does one get these training sessions to work. I appreciate the help. Lots to learn in this game.

Re: Training Assignments

What I learned from reading this forum is that the 'Training Assingments" section of the game is very confusing/difficult to use... and the lack of documentation makes it really hard to learn. The general consensus (that I picked up anyway) is to just let the CPU handle Training.

Sorry!

Re: Training Assignments

Yes I also checked off training assisgnments and saved them, and nothing happened. Is there supposed to be training mini games or drills, or a message or something?

Re: Training Assignments

I'm also confused about how this works. I set particular assignments for every player category (eg. hitting + fly balls for outfielders; hitting + infield drills for infielders, etc), but I'm a month into the season and the "Player progression" page keeps showing only decreases for every single one of my players. Not one player has an increasing category. I have no idea if it's because of the training assignments, or if it's something entirely different.

Re: Training Assignments

There are no mini games or drills djrjz. if you have the training auto the cpu will eventually change them every few weeks or so.

And Cristane, all your players will digress during the season due to fatigue. And you won't see any improvements until the offseason. That's where you will see the little up arrows.

Re: Training Assignments

I appreciate this question as I too was baffled. I'm going to go make sure all of my options are automated so I don't have to fool with this, however, bottom line with almost every issue is that documentation should have been provided. The manual is too skimpy for such a steep (i.e. awesome) game.
