2011 Recruiting Discussion Thread

Lets try this again.

On Duke's front, they got huge news when Austin Rivers decommitted from UF. Duke is likely the favorite.

4* big man Tyler Adams has said Duke is his leader and might commit shortly.

Other targets for Duke include big men Amir Williams and Johnny O'Bryant. 4* SF Michael Gbinije is already committed.

Gilchrist committing a year early is surprising with the high turnover rate in college these days. I guess he could back out of a verbal if he feels like it.

I doubt he's worried about Cal leaving. Will be completely shocked if the kid doesn't put on the Kentucky cap tomorrow.

UK might as well be considered a developmental league team with all the one and dones they're going to have come through there under Calipari.

Re: 2011 Recruiting Discussion Thread

I was referring to players, not coaches.

Oh, OK.

Well if thats the case, the same thing will more than likely apply next year, with Kanter and likely 2 or 3 more freshmen leaving.

I hate Duke, but if Mir goes there I will have to swallow my pride.

That said, everyone in the family thinks he made his decision, he just isn't telling anyone (not even us). Me and my grandma think he is just waiting for Kentucky to give the official offer.

I am sure Cal has evaluated most players, as do most high major coaches, but I have not heard his name brought up in any of the UK recruiting circles.
