is this my system or the game?

When I press the PS button to quit the game, it used to always let me and take me back to the first log in screen when u start the system. Now, the game freezes for a couple seconds...beeps...and then restarts. This doesn't seem right...can anybody help me wit this?

i dont wanna say this for sure, but it could possibly be if your quitting the game while still logged into sportsconnect? i know the 2 or 3 times the ps3 beeped for me was when i was still logged in.

thanks for the tip...so ur saying I just got to hold down the ps button instead of pushing it once?

Yes. Hold it in like you hold down the gas pedal on a car. The screen will turn dark and you'll have the option to quit the game from there. I have never had any game lock up on me when I've quit in this manner. On various other games (God Of War Collection, Rock Band, Tiger Woods, etc. etc.) when i've quite using the XMB I have quite frequently had my system restart due to a crash.

I just came here wanting to ask regarding this problem and I see others also have same problem. Anways, thanks for fix, I'll see if it works.

Btw, is it confirmed to be ps3 or MLB the show problem?
