It only works if you control all teams... if you control one team or less it will mess up the rosters and lineup.

Should I leave the CPU team roster control ON or OFF? meaning if an injury happens are the rosters going to get messed up if the CPU is controlling the rosters or should I control everything myself even for those teams I don't play with?

Turn everything with any teams lineup injuries and anything else to manual. Because if you set something to CPU and a player gets injured the computer will mess the roster up. Leave CPU rosters off. But you need to control every team.
