Odd Commentary

So I was playing the other day and I dont remember who I was playing against but The Commentators were talking about how he was in his hometown and had some Pizza Gig working..... GOD I WISH I COULD REMEMBER THE EXACT QUOTE...

Has anyone else heard some Rad Commentary that has NEVER been heard before....

My incident had to do with Hometown Pizza...

IT WAS SO BIZARRE, but SUPER SWEET..... talking about pizza and how the Guy makes it or something like that...... GREATEST THING EVER SOOO FUNNY

Re: Odd Commentary

Is it just me, or does the colour guy like talking about Paul Bunyan waaaaaaaay too much? Every slashing call, he makes reference to it.

Other commentating oddities:

- Play-by-play shouts "OH WHAT A SAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAVE!!!!!!1" upon stopping a sniper on a breakaway, then he speaks like normal after.

- I always find it funny when the announcers chew your team out for taking bad shots and talking about how their confidence level is low.......when your team is leading by quite a bit.

Re: Odd Commentary

The best I've ever heard was about Rick Dipietro, I can't remember exactly what was said but it went something like this:

"You can't miss that guy on the beach, he is pure muscle baby"

or something like that. Me and my brother just looked at each other and started cracking up.

The "We ain't talkin' 'bout practice" one has elicited a few chuckles from me.

Re: Odd Commentary

I love how Gary Thorne constantly says that the player who blocked the shot "never intended to do that" when that's exactly what I wanted to do. I used the shot block buttons, Gary. Get your head in the game. According to you, not one player in NHL history has ever intentionally blocked a shot.

I also love how he proclaims a guy "unintentionally" blocking a shot a nice play. I dunno what's so nice about an accidental play.

And also, I like when they call your team sloppy after making a turnover, all of this when your team is in control of the game.
