Wall Climb

How exactly do I do a wall climb because it keeps saying "Wall Climb (X)" whenever they hit a borderline HR and I have no idea how to get my guys to actually try to wall climb because X isn't doing anything.

You need to hit and HOLD "X" while running towards the wall. As you do this a meter will come up exactly the same as the throw meter for bases. Release X when the meter is in the green section (the middle) to perform the best wall climb. When you release X you dont need to do anything else, just watch the animation play out and hope your guy makes the catch.

This confused me too, until someone explained to me how to do it.

I spent some time last night trying to figure this out and didn't manage to do so. This will be a huge help.

When i do that my players just end up throwing the ball to first base after the ball hits the wall...no wall climb animation plays out for me...but i have gotten it to play out by just getting close enough to the wall and then pressing x once...kinda like when catching a routine fly...enter the field marker and press x...idk which is the real way it's confusing for me cause i have no consistency with it...why couldn't 2k make it the rb (right bumper) or lb (left bumper) would've been alot easier imo

I too have only done it where I press X once. Also, I've only performed it successfully in "My Player" mode. I did it all the time there. I've played 6 franchise games and only had it come up 1 time so far and it didn't work for me. Usually I had to get right near the warning track while running toward the wall and hit X at the right moment to trigger the animation. I've gotten to the track too early and basically he would just wait before he went into the motion, but I could tell I could no longer control my player. That may have just confused me more. Anyway, I've never seen the meter come up for "wall climb", but maybe I've just missed it.

I performed my one and only wall climb last night, with Carlos Gonzalez robbing Casey McGhee of the home run. Unfortunately, I didn't receive the achievement, but it was still an exciting play to see.
