SCEA Rosters - No Triple A Players

OK, so I got the latest update today... 4-5-10 and saved the rosters for offline use. I know, I know, wait for Knights. I would, but I don't play franchise, so the minors aren't all that important to me.

However, I did notice that when I go to Triple A rosters for any team now after starting a new season with the SCEA rosters, there are no players. I go to team management and manage roster and then hit the trigger to scroll to triple a and it says no players. It this because I'm in spring training?

Thanks,
Doug

If you're only playing a season and not a franchise I believe that you can only control the 40-man roster and not any of the minor league rosters. I may be wrong but I think this is why you cannot access the AAA roster.

Re: SCEA Rosters - No Triple A Players

It might be because you're in spring training, but I'm not sure. I haven't started a franchise yet. I do know this: MLB teams have a very large contingent of players invited to spring training with a chance to make a club. It numbers between 40 and 50. So SCEA may have combined the AAA rosters into the MLB rosters for spring training's sake. Remember all of the split squad games that take place. Every team plays these each year on the same day, using completely different sets of players. You couldn't do this with a 25 man roster.

Yea, it was spring training. I ended spring training and now I get triple A.

However, my Royals are jacked up of course. I can't find Parish... relief pitcher. There was another one too... Mendoza I think that is a relief pitcher I can't find.

Anyway, it was spring training.

Cool,
Thanks for updating us. Thank goodness it wasn't an SCEA screw-up. As for your current rosters, if you had part of your franchise set to auto-rosters, those 2 guys you mentioned could have been injured or sent down to the minors without your knowledge. Remember that often-times the 40 man roster doesn't always carry the most talented players. Also bear in mind that the SCEA player ratings don't necessarily put the major leaguers on the major league roster.

If those players are making their MLB debuts, or returning from an absence of more than a year from MLB, then they'll need to register a game played and be members of MLBPA before they can put them in the game.

Not true, both Ben Sheets and Justin Duchscherer are in the game out of the box.

Parrish has MLB experience but did not play last year....will be in the 4/12 update. Mendoza is on the team he was last year - I think it is Texas......
