Is there a way to edit a player's contract? I was wanting to adjust Joe Mauer's before I started my season.

If you're controlling that player's team:
(1) Load roster
(2) Go into roster control, player movement, and replace Good Player with some awful player from the FA pool
(3) Start your season
(4) Release awful player. You'll take a small hit (20k or so) to your budget, but meh.
(5) Sign Good Player to whatever deal you want

OR.... Load your roster and then go to roster control. Then switch Mauer and a free agent until Mauer contract is for 8 years. That way you can just have it that way every time you load your roster
