Pitcher or hitter you have the most trouble against?

Like the topic says, name the pitcher or hitter that you seem to have a lot of trouble against.

For me, the two toughest pitchers to face are Rich Harden and Ubaldo Jimenez. I can't seem to do well offensively against either of them.

I haven't noticed a particular hitter that I struggle against though.

Matt Cain because the ball doesn't come out of his hand. It comes out after he follows through.

Any junkballer that has a 90 mph fastball, a 70 mph Curveball, a 85 mph 2 seamer, and an 80 mph change. Guys like Kawakami on the braves, who routinely strikes me out 14 times a game. Hitting in this game is hard enough, factor in vast changes in speed and trajectory, batting on All-Star difficulty and it's damn near impossible.

When pitchers in this game throw their off speed stuff inside it's IMPOSSIBLE to tell the difference between fastball or off speed. It looks exactly the same. I can tell off speed from fast ball when they try and hit the outside corner, but when they float a curveball low and inside, I'm swinging early every time.

Yup, same here. Randy Wolf, Doug Davis are two who have repertoire's like that, and they strike me out at least 10-15 times each game. I faced them both twice already this year, here's to hoping I don't face them again.

Re: Pitcher or hitter you have the most trouble against?

Zach Duke gives me headaches as does Tim Redding.

Against Redding I seem to put baserunners on....but he seems to get that ground ball double play at the exact moment he needs it.

Maybe it's me being too aggressive and chasing that low and away pitch...but he just irritates me to make me go after it

Ubaldo and Lincecum are impossible for me. Also, this rookie in my franchise that plays for the A's is so hard to hit off of because he has a 100 MPH Fastball and an 83 MPH Cut Fastball.

Pitcher: Roy Halladay.

He is just sick nasty, obviously

Hitter: A-Rod, I guess.

I guess he is expected though, lol.

I had a series with NYY as the Rays and he smashed me 2 out of 3 games.
