Offensive Strategy Help?

Hi im new to the series and not more than a casual hockey fan. Can someone please explain the different offensive strategies to me?

I play on be a pro mode so I cant really see them. Also is there anyway to like view a diagram of 'behind the net' or anything? Can i do it in that create a play mode? I tried but I couldnt really figure anything out. Thanks!!!

oh also, how what does like 'slot', 'high slot', 'low slot' mean?

Your best bet is to go into the Coaching Strategies screen (pause menu on anything but be a player mode) and take a look at the explanations. EA does a nice job of showing diagrams with explanations of the various offensive strategies.

ugh the little diagrams dont really help that much =(

so the slot is where the Hash marks are, High slot is Before the Hash marks, and Low Slot is Below the Hash Marks.

as far as strategies go, 2-1-2 is great 2 meaning Two forwards in deep, 1 as in One forward kind of holding back but still in the zone in between your points and your deep forwards. and 2 meaning Defense of course. and 3-2 is forwards in deep (the most aggressive)
