Manager benchings are killing me

I have my RTTS set up so that I don't do the baserunning once the initial hitting is over. I am currently on my fourth "indefinite" suspension because my player is stealing w/o a greenlight. He has 0 CS, 0 SBs, and now two the suspensions I've gotten he was never on base in a situation to steal (One game I went 2-4 with 2 homers and 2 k's, neither K got me on base w/ an error and the other was an 0-1 day with a fly out as a pinch hitter).

Is there a workaround to keep this from happening other than doing all the baserunning myself? I just find that part of the game tedious. Thanks in advance.

I had same problem. I didnt want to have to waste my time running bases since my guy is not a big base thief. Im not going to ride the bench though so looks like im stuck. Screw your green light coach!!

I also don't like the "throwing to wrong base" or "cover base " penalties. Sometimes its just a personal judgment call and doesn't make a difference but you still get nailed with it.

I've ended up setting the option to run as the lead runner only. Hopefully this solves the problem for now although I would really like to see a fix eventually.

I'm at a loss on this myself. I've done the same as I've chosen to focus on power/average for now and find baserunning to be too tedious. I also keep getting benched even though I've turned the slider for stealing frequency all the way to zero. I've read somewhere else that people were getting "running through the green light" warning when there was a failed hit and run. Basically, my baserunner is part of a hit/run and is getting thrown out (or even sucessfully stealing) because the batter is whiffing on the pitch or not swinging.

I'm wondering if that's what's happening because after the game I won't have a SB or a CS and still get the benching from the manager for ignoring his green light. I'm pretty sure that's the case and it's irks the crap out of me because there's no way around that - even if I go back to manually running the bases. Because it won't matter if I'm the one doing the running if the batter fails to hit the ball on a hit/run and the coach thinks I'm just trying to steal. I find this to be a major flaw in the game and seriously hope it gets patched VERY soon!

If you leave BR Aggression at 0 and don't ever add to it, then it helps. I've done that with my 1B and he hasn't tried to steal yet. Hope it helps.
