3 reason I am not buying 2010

1. No Tiger Stadium. How could you add old stadiums and leave this one out? This should have been a no brainer.

2. No one pitch mode for manage mode and cpu vs cpu. I also can't believe this didn't get implemented. I love to watch other teams play against each other. A one pitch mode where the final pitch that results in the outcome of an at bat makes for a quick 10 minute game.

3. No season carry over from 2009. I am a seasons guy. I scout my players, I draft, I sign free agents. I have an ongoing virtual baseball world and I'm not just going to stop because of a current roster with some added animations and other small improvements.

So, this is not a slam on THE SHOW. I am saying I am perfectly happy with 2009. Hope you guys that bought it are haveing a great time. Reason 1 and 2 above would be enough for me to stop my 2009 and start over. Until then, I will remain content with what I have. The best sports game ever made and honestly one that I never thought I would see in my lifetime.

Has any game every had the ability to continue seasons from one game to the next? Seems weird to me that your reasons for not buying the game include the exclusion of 1 stadium, and the exclusion of something that I don't think has ever been done before.

Re: 3 reason I am not buying 2010

Just to clarify a few things.

1. I'm pretty sure it was a licensing issue with Tiger Stadium. It was expensive to get these stadiums in the game. Tiger Stadium may not have even been an option, but I don't think they just flat out didn't want it in the game.

2. No qualms with your argument here...

3. I have read that this isn't possible due to coding issues and the instability that it would cause. I'm with you, I would love it, but from what I understand (could be wrong) this isn't possible.

I respect your opinion, I think you are missing out though!

In reference to point 3, Front Page Sports Football for PC in the 90's did that. I dont know why no one has done it since. Its was a great feature.

FPSFB has a large place in my heart.
Anyways the games are pretty much a lot more detailed now and even FPSFB has issues with the feature. Some stats disappearing and or wrong etc...

I would really LOVE the feature too but I just don't know enough (or anything for that matter) about programming to know how hard that would be in the grand scheme of things.

Yes, Front Page Sports Football did this. From season one to the next. You had to run a conversion to your previous version's save file. Unfortunately this game went to the wayside because of the jerks at sierra and the jerks at EA and Madden. If it were still around today I guarantee we would have a football game that rivals the show in graphics and realism.

Just having converstation. I love 2009 and there are only a few things that would make me stop playing my current franchise. The tiger stadium reason is just that. I would give my left arm to play this game with tiger stadium. I think about it every time i start the game.

I hadn't heard this before, but it was something I thought might have been behind the scenes. Hope they get it someday.
