Please help me with patch.

I bought the game and played some. I am willing to uninstall everything. I did once.

But this update, 1.06 just won't go anywhere past 5-10%. It keeps saying "an error occured during the download operartion. 8071023.

Any help on what I'm doing wrong?

My Internet connection works. I just connected to the net for the first time today, with an Ethernet cable.

Is there a way to "clear your cache" in the PS3? Or maybe clear your Internet "cookies" from the PS3. Might be causing the issue because it's actually going on the internet to get the patch.

I had this the first time, just tried it again an it worked, so dunno.

Finally played some exhibition games with my cousin and boom froze twice, players just stood there and we couldn't do anything.

another patch coming soon for that crap?

Got it!

I had to go around the router straight into the modem. FYI in case someone else has this problem. I think it has to do with the router UPnP or plug and play settings.

Sounds like an issue with your DNS settings . At least that is the stuff that came up after googling ...

I had the same problem and it took about 10 attempts to get it to go. I have been having problems with Internet connection so I am guessing that it was my connection causing the issue.
