Auto throw catcher takes forever?

Is anyone else seeing this. I let the CPU play defense and throw for me and on steals my catcher will stand straight up before throwing. The plays are not even close and it's much different than what the ai is doing against me.

Anyone else?

One bump, I can't believe noone else is seeing this. Am I the only one that plays with auto throw on?

Hmm...maybe the game doesn't switch on the auto control until after the pitch has been made. With normal fielding you're really supposed to preload the catcher's throw while the pitch is coming towards the plate, so it may be considering you to still have full control during the pitch.

You might have to make that one throw yourself. Preload it the next time the CPU steals and see if he'll make the throw. Auto Throwing - 1, I guess.

i was seen this too but i found a solution, u have to press the base button u want him to throw(2nd base = triangle)

its a bit stupid since it should be AUTO..but still at least theres a work around.

yeah, this was bumming me out to, but preloading the throws on steals seems to work. good luck remembering to press it, though

Guess it kind of keeps you on your toes when a speedster gets on, so it's all good.

Are you loading a throw or since it's auto just pushing 2nd? We need to get this in the bugs thread, I haven't seen it listed.

I have had the same problem. I set defense, throws and baserunning all on auto. The only thing I do is pitch and hit.

Side note: does anyone know if there are pitch and hit only leagues or even single games available online?
