Errors and Injuries...are they in this game?

I purposefully forced two errors with the throwing meter last night. However, I have yet to see a bobbled grounder in 15 games, or a dropped popup, etc.... being that there is no error slider, is it even possible for the fielders to make errors?

Haven't seen even a minor injury, but I'm still in spring training. Maybe they are off for that mode, but I didn't see an option for it.

It is of note that I haven't downloaded the first patch yet, if it has been released, so if the patch addresses these issues then the mods can close this thread.

Any help?

Re: Errors and Injuries...are they in this game?

I was playing as the White Sox and had some confusion in the outfield. The ball was hit to right-center field. Technically Quentin(RF) should have made the catch as he had the best angle on it, but somehow Rios(CF) tried to step in at the last second and make the catch and it hit off his glove and dropped for a double I think.

No errors or injuries for me yet. I even had a ball come off the CPU's bat and hit my pitcher real hard - no injury.

I'm begnning to wonder about the injuries myself. I've only played through a few games of Cactus League ball with my White Sox so far, so maybe I just haven't gotten to that point.

I know last year they had a problem with injuries(at least in my experiences). If a guy dove for a ball or touched the wall at all he was out with an injury(often times for an extended period of time).

Re: Errors and Injuries...are they in this game?

Played a lot of games so far and have seen only one error, called last night on my pitcher. Hard roller hit between 1st and 2nd. First baseman hustles to his right to scoop it up and my pitcher runs over to cover first. He grabs the toss but the animation stutters for a second before he attempts to tag the runner instead of heading to the bag. Well, he apparently ends up missing the runner as he runs by. The commentators make no mention about it, but at the end of the inning I notice the score shows me with an error.

That's the only one I've seen, and the animation wasn't real clear on it to begin with. That animation where the pitcher heads over to cover first gets pretty quirky anyway.

I've seen no injuries yet. At all.
