Will we ever see Rain/Delays in this game?

They said weather is something they have on the list. They had fog early on in the game (for 10), but ran into some technical difficulties, so I would not be surprised to see it in for 11.

Not to mention the PS3 now has an additional 70MB of RAM for the developers recently, since the footprint is shrinking on the XMB from 120MB to 50MB.

So that is some good news for next year. And the games on the PS3 looked good now without that extra ram, so I can imagine with it. That is an 18% increase in RAM for games.

I have wanted rain for a while, i liked it in 2k which for some reason they took out this year.



I agree i think we wills ee it but i fear its not high on the devs list.


i know some will say, 'what the heck do you want rain for, its dumb'

well i think it will be fun, frustrating and all that, to be up 3-2 in the 4th as it starts to pour and watch u try to speed up gameplay to get to the point where the game is official.

seeing the umps call the game would be cool, then the fun part, having a double header scheduled, [or have the game rescheduled for later in the year] would make a nice strategic situation as u try to juggle the starting rotation because of the cancellation.

That would be nice feautre wouldn't mind seeing a bench clearing brawl cut-scene niether and the ump giving warnings,too.

Unfortunately MLB will not allow this in the games anymore.

I beleive this used to be in MVP baseball but it's really not a big deal. I don't see rain delays adding anything to the game whatsoever. If your in a game it delays it, and if you sim it skips the game. It's really not needed.

However, rain DURING a game that won't cause a rain delay would be nice to see.

I disagree. Depending on the length of the delay, the starting pitchers might get cold and lose (or reset) their confidence. Players who were hot during the game might cool off. And now that they've added real-time clocks and night/day transitions, there's the added immersive graphical effects as well.

I'd really like to see weather (rain and snow) in this series. Like others have mentioned, the possibility of postponements and double headers would be really cool and add to the "strategery".
