What difficulty level will you start with???

The reason I ask is because there have been a lot of press releases and feedback over the last couple of weeks on the demo and the new batting/pitching components of the game.

Whether it's the lack of extra base hits, swing stick, timing only batting, or anything else hitter/pitcher related the response from the developers has always been that ratings play a bigger part this year.

If this is the case I'd like to hear from someone at 2k what level they think represents the true ratings of the player that we as fans see night in and night out in the majors. If the Inside Edge is implemented and working the way that it's supposed to be, should there be a difference in difficulty levels at all?

I do know there will some tweaking of sliders necessary, but I think I may have to start on All Star first.

Definitely on pro first, to see what happens. Then move up to All-Star before I mess with sliders.

the game defaults to legend so make sure you go in and set it to your liking

Re: What difficulty level will you start with???

On any game, unless I'm playing on Legend or All madden I feel like my stats will end up ultimately inflated. So I'll start on legend.

The problem in the past with this game has been there's no happy medium. Pro was way too easy, and stupid, winning 20-1. All Star and legend were impossible, losing 3-1 or 2-0 at best and getting 2 or 3 scattered singles. There was no happy medium for good and realistic baseball gameplay.

Even with sliders, that was a problem, the game's biggest problem IMHO. Everyone said "use these sliders" or "or use these sliders" none worked. None. The game was either too easy and felt stupidly simple or it was impossible; the sliders didn't change that part of it.
