Casual Hockey Fans

Hey guys, I was just wondering how many players there are out there that barely watch and follow hockey that are really enjoy this game. Now I have somewhat followed hockey in recent years and it is really fun to watch because of the game speed and what not. I have played this a couple times and think it is a pretty good game but I havent played that much. But anyways, just wondering how many of you have gotten into the game and maybe even started following hockey more because of it. Thanks.

What Emerica said it's true. I've learned football and it's little things totally from Madden and NCAA and I believe this holds for hockey also. By playing you learn how fine a sport it is.

Re: Casual Hockey Fans

in our main hockey league, out of 30 guys i bet we have just 12 guys who just love the game in general. bc its just fun to play, easy to pick up and play.

Re: Casual Hockey Fans

Over the last several years, I'd kinda fallen out of closely following the NHL. But no question...this game has renewed my interest.

Re: Casual Hockey Fans

Last year I only really followed the finals. Prolly 10 or 12 years ago I followed most playoff hockey. But to answer your question, I've found a secret hockey interest especially after getting this game. I'm in Georgia so hockey ain't to big here so I have to give the game props for my interest

Re: Casual Hockey Fans

Born and raised on the west coast I was never around hockey too much, and have only seen a few NHL games live. I've been playing NHL10 now since October, mostly BAP. Starting with next to zero knowledge of the game and players, I already have a pretty good understanding of the terms, concepts and stars.
It's also piqued my interest in following hockey, though I'd much rather play NHL10 than watch a game on TV.
The funny thing is how much time we'll spend researching tactics for a video game, and how entrenched we get in it, as evidenced by this board!
