when i start up a game, whether it's quick game or my player, the screen may or may not play the player intros. then it will have a like "kaleidoscope effect" with colors and a black screen. then the game starts with a black screen and does not change and is unplayable.

i'm not sure if it is the recent patch or my disc or my system(which is a 60gb upgraded to a 500gb hd drive). just curious if this has happened to anyone else or if there is a way to fix it.

i think something like this happened to me a few years ago...it was a pre-cursor to the Red Ring of death. have you gotten this on your system yet?

no. this is the first occurance and the only game this happens with.

yeah i dunno check the game out for scratches or things like that. try it off both the disc and HD. could be a busted game.
