Jumpshooting, whats your method?

after trying to find countless ways to shoot on HOF i think now that the button is better than the shot stick this year ive been using the stick forever but now it seems useless unless shooting a floater or layup. Every that uses a shotstick tell me your methods for making sure the release is on point. I hate shooting this year because ther are to many button tap releases unlike 2k9 where you had control of your release point.

I use the shot stick and I try to release it at the point when the ball leaves the player's hands.

I find that the best release point for all players is to release when the ball is covering the player's face

man i miss the 2k9 method where we had more control over shot releases. I hope they bring it back this year. in 2k9 i took the rockets into practice mode and dominated everyone because i knew the shot releases of all my players. Now it seems for about luck than skill. tap button and hope it goes in

That has much to do with the turbo jumpshots 2K implemented to compensate for the unrealistic defense recovery.

They really need to fix the jumpshooting. What is described as a "Perfect" release certainly isn't. They need a way to show in practice when is best to release the shot.

Thats also my main issue with the game this year. How can they make such a poor design decision with something so fundamental like the shooting? I dont get it.

I only use square button (PS#) when shooting normal jumpers or fadeaways. Anything else like leaners, runners, floaters, drifters, layups, and dunks, I use the shot stick.
